The Hungarian Calvary – which was originally called “Hungarian Calvary Cardinal Mindzenty” – had its inception in Father Elias Kardos and Father Luis Kondor, after World War II, a time when Hungary was under the dictatorship of atheistic communism and persecutor of the Church. The chapel is dedicated to Saint Stephen, the first King of Hungary. It was offered by Catholics from Hungary and was blessed on May 12, 1964. This place is interesting and captivating due to its silence, tranquility and peace of mind that can only be felt here. Surrounded by olive and holm trees, with its irregular and rocky terrain, this place is a true sanctuary dedicated to faith and reflection.
